Toronbo Shores
Toronbo Shores,(LA)[1] also known as the Beach,(LANS)[2] is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[name references needed]
Features and Overview
Toronbo Shores is a beach making up the southwest portion of Koholint Island. It is where Link washed up when his boat was capsized in a storm. After a local girl named Marin nursed him back to health, north in Mabe Village, and her father Tarin gave him his shield,[3] Link journeyed down and talked with a mysterious Owl about the Wind Fish, he found his sword in the wreckage.[4][5] He then turned northward to the Mysterious Woods the locale where the owl advised him to journey next. He later journeyed here to talk with Marin about removing a walrus from the entrance to Yarna Desert. This beach borders the region called South of the Village to the north and the Martha's Bay region to the east.
Toronbo Shores is a beautiful beach with tall palm trees for shade in the sun. The beach extends far and gives lots of space for relaxation. Marin has been known to constantly look out towards the ocean, wandering what is outside of the island. However, when Link arrived washed up on shore, he drew monsters toward him knowing that he could wake the Wind Fish.[4] Toronbo Shores contains Sale's House o' Bananas as well as a Cave on its southern portion with an Item Trader inside who can be seen after acquiring the Magnifying Lens.

In the Link's Awakening manga by Ataru Cagiva, Link arrives to Toronbo Shores searching for his Sword in volume 1. He is then attacked by a group of Octoroks and then a Sea Urchin. The Owl eventually arrives, scaring the Octoroks away. After obtaining the Ocarina, Link visits Marin at Toronbo Shores, where they play together the "Ballad of the Wind Fish"
In volume 2, Link goes to Toronbo Shores and begins making a boat to leave Koholint Island. The next day, he and Marin leave the island in Link's boat; however, they kept coming back to the Island, so Link gives up. Once they are back at Toronbo Shores, Marin tells Link about a dream she had where she left the Island. Shortly after, the Owl appears to question Link's intentions.
